I was digging through some archived images and came across a shoot I did with Raquel Beezley a few years ago when I was living in California. Beezley was recently named Miss California USA....after some confusion that made national headlines. I have to admit that I am hooked on textured layers, so bear with me until I get through this phase....

Ha. I'm glad you're letting us know this phase will pass. Until then I've been shooting a lot of textures. I'll send some your way.
Do really think it's a phase? I LOVE texture and believe me the construction workers remodeling my home of given my the one up and one down eyebrow when I am shooting texture. LOVE IT!!!! This image is awesome by the way not only the texture but your use of light too. :-)
What are you using for the texture? Are you creating your own, then photographing, then p-shopping them in?

Yes...I photograph textures and then layer them in.
